NOA Kwara Director Commends ODUNA’s 10th Anniversary Medical Mission

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) Kwara State Director has praised the Offa Descendants Union North America (ODUNA) for its remarkable efforts in organizing a one-week medical mission to commemorate its 10th anniversary.

Speaking during a visit to ODUNA leadership and at the Offa Descendant Union Hall, Alh Dare Abdulganiyu , the Director lauded ODUNA’s dedication to addressing healthcare needs and strengthening community bonds.

“This is a remarkable effort by ODUNA, and we applaud their dedication to making a difference,” the director stated during a conversation with ODUNA Chairman, Dr. Adegboyega Abdulkadir.

Dr Adegboyega noted that the medical mission, through the support of individuals and organisations offered a variety of free healthcare services, including laboratory tests, ENT care, dental services, podiatry, physiotherapy, surgical procedures, and eye care.

The ODUNA Chairman emphasized the challenges posed by bureaucratic government processes and urged authorities to simplify procedures to enhance the effectiveness of such initiatives.

“The impact of initiatives like this could be amplified if the processes to support such endeavours were less cumbersome,” he noted.

Dr Adegboyega emphasised that the event signifies ODUNA’s ongoing dedication to fostering unity and driving development through impactful programs even as he commended volunteers who committed their time, funds and expertise to the success of the event.

Also speaking, Engr. Abdulmajeed Lawal, President of ODUNA, highlighted the mission’s purpose as a way of giving back to society.

“This week-long medical mission reflects our commitment to improving lives and supporting our community,” he remarked

Hundreds of beneficiaries, who were orderly organised by security personnel and ODUNA Committe, thronged the venue to receive medical attention.
