In her speech, delivered on behalf of the Director General, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, the zonal Director noted that thevisit served three key purposes: to congratulate the revered monarch on his 85th birthday milestone, to seek royal blessings for NOA’s newly established North Central Zonal Office in Ilorin, and to deliver warm greetings from the Director General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.

Princess Priscilla Gondo-Aluor praised the Emir’s lifetime of exemplary leadership, describing him as “a living repository of wisdom and a stabilizing force for peace and unity in Kwara State and across Nigeria.”

Dr Priscilla particularly noted the monarch’s enduring role in fostering inter-ethnic harmony and supporting government initiatives for national development.

“Your Royal Highness, as we join the entire nation in celebrating your 85th birthday, we pray Allah grants you continued good health and wisdom. As we establish our zonal office in Ilorin, we seek your royal blessings and guidance. We also bring the sincere greetings of our Director General, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, who holds Your Highness in the highest esteem,” the Zonal Director stated.

The NOA chief explained that the new zonal office would strengthen the agency’s capacity to promote President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, national values, and civic education across the six states of the North Central zone.

In his response, the Emir expressed gratitude for the birthday wishes and commended NOA for choosing Ilorin as its zonal headquarters. The revered monarch pledged the traditional institution’s support for the agency’s programmes, particularly praising NOA’s efforts in countering misinformation and promoting national unity. “On this auspicious occasion of my 85th birthday, I am particularly delighted by NOA’s commitment to our community. The establishment of this zonal office in Ilorin is a testament to our city’s growing importance as a hub for federal agencies. We will support NOA in all its endeavours to instil patriotism and proper values in our citizens,” the Emir declared.
